Teen badly injured after being shot multiple times with paintball gun

A 14-year-old boy was badly injured Monday after he was shot multiple times at close-range with a paintball gun.
Paterson police are now searching for the person responsible for the attack.
Carolina Vasquez says that her son Brian Caballo was shot 20 to 25 times with a paintball gun by someone standing only five feet away from him. She says that it left him welts that broke the skin.
“All over his body, his lower chest, his lower back. Both legs, his arms,” she says.
Vasquez says that the attack happened around 7 p.m. when Brian heard a knock at the door. She says he opened it to find the adult brother of one of his friends from school allegedly pointing the paintball gun at him. The man is believed to be in his 20s.
Vasquez says that she has no idea why her son was targeted.
“I have no idea who this person is and why he did it,” she says.
Vasquez that her son told her that this person shot two other students from his school in the past. He was able to identify his attacker to police. Paterson police are now searching for the man.
