String of Stratford car break-ins prompts warning from police

A string of car break-ins this weekend in Stratford has police warning the public to secure all valuables and keep vehicles locked.
Eight cars were broken into and rummaged through, and a ninth car was stolen.
Police Capt. Frank Eannotti says the break-ins all occurred Saturday night in the Second Hill Lane neighborhood. He says the cars that were rummaged through had all been left unlocked, and the stolen car -- a Chrysler Aspen -- had its keys left inside.
"The best course of action is lock your vehicles, lock your house, don't leave any valuables in the car, don't leave your car keys in the car -- wallets, purses, things of that nature," Eannotti says.
Stratford police say they're looking for any additional photos, video or information in the case that could help them make an arrest and recover the stolen car.
