Story time at a Northern Westchester library is taking on a more vibrant twist this weekend with something no other library in the county has ever done.
Anna Lillian Moser, the children's librarian at the Lewisboro Library, is welcoming drag queen Angel Elektra, of Yonkers, during Saturday morning’s children's hour.
“Drag Queen Story Hour” has been a trend in different cities across the U.S. Elektra will be reading, dancing and interacting with youngsters during the event.
“No matter where you are on the gender spectrum – how you identify, what race you are, ethnicity, culture – we can all come together and enjoy this fun activity together,” says Moser.
Around 30 children and their parents will be in attendance for an experience expected to bring a long lasting message of equality.
