SLEEPY HOLLOW -

A picnic was held in Sleepy Hollow Sunday for those who have immigrant family members being held in detention centers.

The family members say their loved ones are being held in scary and unsafe conditions as they face deportation.

Veronica Paute, of Ossining, says her brother was detained six months ago and is currently in Louisiana.

"He said, 'We can't even see the sunlight, they don't feed us enough. We are always hungry,’" she says.

Paute says she just wants her brother to have the opportunity to be reunited with his family.

"He is a hardworking man and a loving father,” she says.
