KATONAH -

The eighth annual Family Fun Day was held in Katonah Sunday in honor of a special person.

Stephanie Crispinelli, of Somers, was killed in Haiti during the deadly 2010 earthquake while on a mission trip.

Family Fun Day consists of a softball tournament, raffles and food, all to raise money toward Crispinelli’s mission to help children overseas.

The Stephanie Crispinelli Humanitarian Fund has so far built seven schools in rural areas of Jamaica and awarded various scholarships within the community.

Crispinelli's family and volunteers construct the schools themselves in her honor.
