MIDDLETOWN -

A local animal rights group is looking for your help in locating a driver who abandoned a dog in Orange County.

According to the Middletown Humane Society's Facebook page, the dog was chained to the fence, and left with no food or water for nearly 10 hours.

The group says the dog is frightened and is aggressive towards people, likely because of improper treatment from the person who owned the dog before.

Anyone with information on who owns the car or the dog is asked to contact the society immediately.
