New Rochelle's Lincoln Park reopens following renovations

NEW ROCHELLE -

A popular New Rochelle park reopened Monday after major renovations were completed.

Lincoln Park welcomed a large crowd with brand-new swings, equipment, benches, lighting and more.

Councilman Jared Rice says the park hadn't received an update in at least 20 years before it underwent a $750,000 makeover.

The park also has safety in mind with new rubber matting to avoid any painful falls.

Community officials hope the updates will inspire children to meet new faces and become more active.
