Groundbreaking ceremony held today for new complex near Six Flags

A groundbreaking ceremony happened today in Jackson Township for a new family and fun sports complex coming soon that will be located next to Six Flags.
In the years to come, plans call for the 300-acre property along Route 537 to be turned into the largest indoor and outdoor sports complex in the region.
Phase one includes plans for the new Hilton Garden hotel, along with a 90-foot tall dome.
The dome will accommodate five full-sized convertible basketball/volleyball courts, a multi-use turf field, as well as a sports bar and food concessions.
Later phases include plans for banquet halls, a Quick Chek, Golden Corral, Cracker Barrel and many additional outdoor sports and recreation fields.
If all goes as planned, phase one will be ready by 2020 at a cost of around $21 million.
The total projected investment dollar value could reach a half billion dollars.
