4 Trenton officers put on leave following shooting at arts festival

Four Trenton police officers have been put on administrative leave following a shooting at an all-night arts and music festival, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Over 20 people were injured Sunday when several gunmen opened fire at the Art All Night Trenton festival. Authorities say that they believe several neighborhood gangs had a dispute, leading to multiple suspects shooting at each other. Police officers also returned fire.

Placing police officers on administrative leave is standard after a police officer discharges a weapon.
The prosecutor’s office is investigating the shooting.
