Somers H.S. student killed in ATV crash

A Somers High School student was killed after police say he lost control while behind the wheel of an ATV.
Police say the teen was riding the ATV down Blackberry Hill Road in Katonah around 11:30 a.m. Friday when he struck a concrete mailbox near Primrose Drive, causing him to be ejected from the vehicle.
Authorities rushed the teen to Westchester Medical Center, where they say he was later pronounced dead.
Friends say the teen was a freshman at Somers High, played youth football and had a big heart.
While police announced the boy’s name Saturday morning, News 12 will not do so out of respect for his grieving family.
