White Plains couple turns pain into positive message

A White Plains husband and wife say they made a conscious decision to transform their pain after the Sept. 11 terror attacks and become "Difference Makers.”
Phyllis and Orlando Rodriguez lost their 31-year-old son Greg during the attacks.
Orlando Rodriguez, who is a sociology professor at Fordham University, says he gained solace by talking to his students about that fateful day.
He eventually started volunteering and advocated for peace.
He and his wife, Phyllis, now volunteer inside the kitchen of Memorial United Methodist Church.
