Does the NRA play a role in recent mass shootings?

Making our schools safer in the wake of deadly school shootings.

News 12 Long Island recently hosted a Facebook Live event at Center Moriches High School.

News 12 asked if the NRA has any role in gun safety regulation and laws, and is it to blame in any way for the rash of mass shootings?

Some Long Islanders say they don’t blame members of the NRA or any responsible gun owners.

However, 97 percent of Americans agree that there should be criminal backgrounds checks for every gun sale, but that is not the law.
