96-year-old WWII vet has wish granted

A Rockland County veteran has had his wish granted.
Bill Hession, 96, of New City, fought in the Battle of Guadalcanal in 1942 and has wanted to talk about it with someone who was there.
His hospice caretakers posted a plea on Twitter asking if anyone was left from the historic fight.
Harold Berg, a retired Marine, answered the call and made the trip from Illinois to visit Hession.
It's been more than 75 years since they fought together in the Pacific and the two spent time reminiscing about their journey. "Well, life has been pretty good for you and I. Yes, but right now, it isn’t so good. But we've had plenty of good days go by. That’s right," says Hession.
