Immigrants attend free legal clinic in Yonkers

A free legal clinic was held in Yonkers Friday for dozens of immigrants who are concerned about their future in the United States.
Aurelio Castro, who has lived in the U.S. for 23 years as an undocumented resident, has never had the concern for his immigration status as he does now. He was one of dozens of immigrants who attended the clinic at St. Peter’s - St. Denis Church to see the options available to him.
“I am illegal in this country for right now, but I try to come and see if they can help me,” said Castro.
Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, of Catholic Charities, said the clinic was an opportunity to make sure “immigrants get professional, competent, compassionate advice.”
