Monroe displays moving tribute to NY veterans

A moving tribute to New York veterans is now on display in Orange County.
A wall of photos of 308 fallen servicemen who have died since 9/11 is being showcased at the American Legion Hall in Monroe.
The display has been exhibited around New York since it was constructed in 2016.
The post's commander saying they plan on showcasing it at various times throughout the year as well as bringing it to other counties with fallen soldiers.  "Everybody's loved it and hated it. They're very sad over it, people have walked out crying but it's an emotional thing. It's worthy to do to keep their names alive," says American Legion Post 488 Commander Mike Flower.
Viewing of the memorial is from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and Thursday, and admission is free.
