Many residents across the Hudson Valley were still without power Monday afternoon after last week’s powerful nor'easter.

On Hardscrabble Hill Road in Chappaqua, crews were busy Monday morning removing a large tree that fell Friday and blocked in homeowners living on the cul-de-sac.

Even though the tree was removed Monday, many homeowners complained that they were still without power.  They said they were frustrated at the lack of progress from Con Edison about getting their power back on.

“It’s a dangerous situation.  I know other people had it too, so I’m not alone. But at some point Con Ed has to realize that if you are on a cul-de-sac, you have no way out. Come and help people. That’s all I’m saying,” said resident Susan Edelson

Con Edison said that 90 percent of its customers’ power should be back on by 11 p.m. Tuesday.
