A car fire didn’t help the traffic on the Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers this morning.
Police say the fire broke out around 6:45 a.m., and the car was quickly engulfed in flames. No injuries have been reported.
Southbound lanes at Oak Street were closed while the wreckage is cleared.
Traffic was backed up for miles and on the Cross County Parkway as motorists tried to find different routes.
All lanes reopened by 8 a.m.
