WESTCHESTER -

Hundreds of people turned out for the 25th annual Danny Fund Valentine Ball.

The event raises money to help local children suffering from serious illnesses.

The money goes to families like Rick Klev's of Suffern. His daughter Ashlyn has been confined to a wheelchair since experiencing a traumatic brain injury.

"We've been overwhelmed by the support that has come from this ordeal," Klev said. "Because you never know when it's going to happen to you, but when it does, the rally of the people and what they can do to help."

The annual event generates around $60,000 every year
