Clarkstown students surprise vets with Valentine's Day treats

Students at one Clarkstown school surprised veterans with some Valentine's Day treats.
Students at Little Tor Elementary School delivered candy and handwritten cards to veterans at Zukor Park in Clarkstown. The school has been doing this for a long time, but it's the first time the kids got to hand deliver their special wishes. One student says the teacher felt it would mean more coming from the kids.
Kevin Killdoff, a Vietnam veteran, says the gesture means so much. He says the note thanked all veterans for their service and bravery.
"I think they were very happy, and it's amazing what they did for our country, so giving back is what we should be doing," says student Kiki.
The veterans were thankful to receive such kind words from the kids for a holiday that is all about love.
