Authorities in Orange County warned drivers of black ice as temperatures began dipping well-below freezing Wednesday evening.
Roads were slick and snow-covered Wednesday, but no major accidents were reported in Orange County during the day.
Plows were out in full force during the height of the storm. Despite the conditions, main roads like 17 in Monroe were seemingly clear but with lighter than usual traffic.
Motorists who braved the roads advised others to drive slowly or stay home if possible.
