Bronx man charged in 2016 Elmont home invasion
A 22-year-old Bronx man was charged Saturday in connection to an Elmont home invasion from Dec. 2016.
Attorneys for the Nassau District Attorney's Office say 22-year-old Stanley Isac was one of three men who broke into a home on Frick Street and confronted the homeowners. Police say they have DNA evidence that ties Isac to the scene.
The victims were identified as then-70-year-old Mirielle Roger and then-69-year-old Eugene Roger. Eugene Roger is a widely recognized Haitian recording artist, known as Shoubou.
He spoke to News 12 after the incident occurred in 2016, but was not willing to speak on camera Saturday.
"Miss, it would be impossible for me to tell you anything today," he told News 12 Long Island
Isac faces multiple charges, including kidnapping, robbery, burglary and assault. He did not make bail and was held on $600,000 bond. He's due back in court on Jan. 17.
Authorities are urging anyone who has information about the other two suspects to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
