A Yonkers senior says his 4 1/2-year-old Yorkshire terrier is still missing nearly a week after she was stolen right from his car.
Officials say the yorkie was stolen out of the front seat of owner Paul Carmody’s car in the CVS parking lot on Central Park Avenue.
Carmody says he stopped at the CVS on Dec. 16 to buy vitamins. When he came out of the store, he noticed the driver-side window of his car was smashed.
He said he knew right away that his yorkie, Lilly, was missing.
Carmody lost his wife seven months ago to stage 4 lung cancer and is now pleading for his other companion to be returned home.
He believes whoever took Lilly was possibly looking for Christmas presents to steal.
Carmody reported the incident to Yonkers police the day she went missing. He says Lilly has a microchip placed under her skin that can be scanned if she is taken to a groomer, which could possibly help locate her.
