Yonkers residents celebrated the first night of Hanukkah with the lighting of a giant menorah at Town Square of Ridge Hill.
Organizers chose a member of the audience to light the first candle.
The event featured live music, dancing, traditional doughnuts, potato latkes and the game of dreidel.
The rabbi who put on the event said Lowe's donated all of the pieces to make the menorah.
