Sen. Booker calls for President Trump’s resignation

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker is one of several senators calling for President Donald Trump’s resignation.
Booker, along with Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), say that the president should resign because of multiple accusations of sexual harassment and assault made against him.
Three women who have previously accused Trump of sexual harassment shared their stories on NBC’s “Megyn Kelly Today.” Jessica Leeds, Samantha Holvey and Rachel Crooks on Monday told of alleged harassment by Trump spanning decades.
The White House called the claims false and “totally disputed in most cases.” It said “the timing and absurdity of these false claims speak volumes.”
Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) announced his resignation last week after multiple woman accused him of sexual misconduct.
Booker said that the president should do the same.
