Family displaced after fire tears through Weston home

A fire tore through a home in Weston Saturday night, leaving a family displaced.
Crews from several departments responded to the house fire on Saw Mill Road near the Fairfield border.
Smoke could be seen coming from the home.
Firefighters say the flames started in the rear of the house.
Officials say three children under the age of 18 were inside, but they got out quickly and managed to save their pets.
"I was looking out of my window, I saw flames coming out of the basement and up the side of the house, and I called 911, then ran over to see if anyone was home. I met the three kids leaving the house as I was running over," says neighbor Donald Beach.
Authorities say thanks to help from neighboring departments, they were able to contain the fire to one room.
