Regeneron Pharmaceuticals to double size of Greenburgh HQ

A major biotech company is planning to nearly double the size of its Westchester headquarters.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals wants to build nine buildings totaling over 1 million square feet near its current corporate headquarters on Old Saw Mill River Road in Greenburgh. The town board unanimously approved Regeneron's expansion plan.
Regeneron issued a statement that read in part, "This recent site plan approval will provide us the flexibility to potentially expand our R&D campus in the future as needed. We appreciate the continued support of our communities, county and New York state in helping us plan for our ongoing growth."
Town officials say Regeneron's expansion will happen in phases over a 10-year period, bringing with it thousands of jobs. They say the project will have no significant environmental impact on the community because it's not located in residential neighborhoods.
Construction could start as early as next year.
Regeneron has called Westchester home for nearly 30 years. It is the Town of Greenburgh's largest employer.
