Bridgeport police say they're seeking another gunman in connection with the Oct. 14 slaying of Deon Rodney, a local barber.
As News 12 has reported, they charged alleged shooter Mark Christian earlier this week.
Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez says video shows one of the suspects approaching the Just Right Cutz barbershop with a gun. His so-called street name is "Gunner," according to the chief.
"Gunner" and Christian allegedly planned to rob a customer at the shop.
Investigators say Rodney, who was working that night, punched the first armed man and wrestled him to the ground outside the shop.
That's when Christian allegedly shot and killed the barber. Community members are remembering Rodney as a hero for trying to protect his customers.
Perez says he's confident police will make the second arrest soon.
They describe the remaining suspect as about 6 feet tall. He's known to frequent the city's South End.
Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
