Boy injured after being hit by car in Croton-on-Hudson

A 12-year-old boy is recovering Thursday afternoon after being hit by a car near Croton-Harmon High School.

The boy was reportedly hit in the head by a mirror that broke off of a car when it hit the child. The car was traveling on Route 129 in Croton-on-Hudson around 7:45 a.m.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing, but police say the driver has not been charged.

Officials say the injuries to the boy were not life-threatening.
