A Yonkers doctor is traveling this Friday to Puerto Rico to help hurricane victims with not only supplies but also with his time.
Dr. Ammir Rabadi will go down to Puerto Rico with medication, insulin shots and baby formula later this week.
The supplies have been donated by St. John’s Riverside Hospital.
With 85 percent of the island still without electricity, Dr. Rabadi says he feels a calling to go to the island and lend a hand.
“The people of Puerto Rico are Americans just like us and we are going to do what we can to bring Puerto Rico back as the shining star that it always was," Dr. Rabadi says.
