Ross F. Calcagno tenants without gas for almost a week

YONKERS -

Hundreds of tenants in a Yonkers public housing complex have not had gas or hot water for almost a week.

The 129 apartments in the Ross F. Calcagno Homes have been without gas after it was abruptly shut off last week due to a leak.

Residents say they have complained to the building’s management to no avail. News 12 paid a visit to the office to get answers, but there was a sign on the door saying they were closed for the day.

Attorneys for the Municipal Housing Authority tell News 12 that the gas leak has been repaired.  They are now waiting for Con Edison to reconnect the gas lines. They say it could happen as soon as Tuesday.
