A fire destroyed a home in White Plains this weekend.

Fire officials say flames broke out at the corner of Springdale Avenue and Daniel Place. They say no one was home at the time, but two dogs were rescued.

Firefighters tell News 12 the fire was difficult to put out. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
