The Mount Saint Michael Academy football team returned to practice today after a player died on the field earlier this week.
Teammates began workouts with heavy hearts and helmets. On Tuesday, police say Dominick Bess, a 14-year-old player from the Bronx, went into cardiac arrest during his first day of practice. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Brice Leonard, a grandfather of a player on the team, says parents should be concerned by the death -- but he still allowed his grandson to return to the field due to his love of the game.
The team says it is dedicating this season to the fallen player.
