Attorney for Anthony Weiner asks judge for delay in sentencing

Anthony Weiner's attorney has asked a federal judge to delay his client's sentencing until Oct. 6.
The former congressman pleaded guilty to sexting charges earlier this year and is set to be sentenced on Sep. 8.
Weiner's defense team claims it needs more time to prepare a sentencing recommendation that best fits their client's continuing treatment.
Regardless of the sentence, Weiner will have to register as a sex offender.
