Crews were hard at work Sunday in New Rochelle fixing a water main break.

Officials say the 16-inch water main break happened under the sidewalk on Main Street around 3:15 a.m.

They say it was caused by a crack in the bottom of the pipe.

No homes or businesses were affected as a result of the break.

Part of Main Street flooded and lanes on both sides of the road were closed temporarily due to the incident.
