A day of swimming turned tragic Friday when a teen from Ossining drowned in the Croton River.

Croton police say Jorge Terasaca was one of six other teens swimming in the Croton River.

They say around 4 p.m. the 18-year-old went under and drowned.

The area of the lake where the drowning happened is a popular spot for fishing and swimming, but it is not supervised.
