15 high school seniors receive Jandon college scholarships

Posted: Updated:
WHITE PLAINS -

Fifteen high school seniors received some financial help for college Monday.

The students received the Jandon Foundation’s scholarship at the Westchester County Office building in White Plains.

Jane and Don Cecil started the Jandon scholarship foundation in 1999 for top students without enough financial backing.

The difference between this scholarship and others is that the students receive the money instead of it going to the school so they can decide how best to use it.

The students don’t get the money all at once. Instead, they get money at the beginning of every semester.
