Westchester robbery suspect caught on West Coast

A suspected bank robber was busted in California after a wild police chase that started in Westchester County.
Police say David Byers, 34, stole a car in Port Chester and committed a series of robberies in Greenwich last week.
Byers was arrested around midnight Wednesday in the San Diego area.
Police say he is facing robbery and larceny charges. "You know, we have people that were victimized by him -- the attendant at the Citgo station, we had the tellers at the bank, and the customers that were there. I think it's great for the community to have this person, this dangerous individual, off the streets," says Greenwich Police Lt. David Nemecek.
The suspect is now waiting to be extradited back to Connecticut.
