YONKERS -

A new Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton opened Friday in Yonkers.

The hotel is located at 555 Tuckahoe Road and has about 150 rooms, including a pool and fitness room.

"I think it shows a real boom in the economy for us in the city, that we're actually able to attract people," says Council Majority Leader John Larkin.

Alfred Weissman Real Estate developed the property and bought it about 20 years ago.
