Greenburgh car chase injures two police officers

Two suspects were arrested and two police officers were injured in a Greenburgh car chase Tuesday afternoon.
The chase started when police spotted a stolen car in a Central Avenue shopping center. Police say the suspects were acting suspicious in front of a CVS Pharmacy. When police tried to pull the suspects over, they fled the scene. The suspects hit a police cruiser blocking the entrance to the Sprain Brook Parkway during the chase. The chase ended when the suspects lost control of the vehicle and crashed on Dobbs Ferry Road.
Ethan Emery, 42, of Mount Vernon, and Vincent Haynesworth, 42, of Yonkers, are facing several charges, including felony possession of stolen property and traffic violations. The officer in the crashed cruiser was taken to Westchester Medical Center with neck and back injuries. The second officer was injured during a brief foot chase to catch Haynesworth after the crash.
