TV star's dog is stolen from Chappaqua mansion

Singer, actress and Chappaqua resident Vanessa Williams wants her 1-year-old Yorkshire terrier back after the pooch was taken from her gated yard Monday. Williams says she noticed an unfamiliar car along her private road while driving her son to a Memorial Day parade. She says the car was still there on her way back, and she later found out her dog was missing.
Two other dogs went missing in northern Westchester last week. A rare dachshund, owned by Ken Chandler, former publisher of the New York Post, went missing when he ran off during a walk at the Teatown Lake Reservation in Yorktown on May 13. The Chandlers fear the dog was stolen and even hired a pet detective. Another dog went missing on May 15 on nearby Stormytown Road in Yorktown.
Police have not connected these incidents and are not calling them suspicious.
