Police probe suspicious incident in Briarcliff Manor

Police in Briarcliff Manor are stepping up patrols after a suspicious incident involving two young girls.

According to police, two sisters, ages 9 and 12, were playing in their front yard when a car described as a red SUV pulled up to the driveway around 7 p.m. Thursday. Police say a man and woman were in the vehicle and asked the girls to come to the car and tried to wave them over. The two girls ran inside their home and told their parents.

Police have given the description of the vehicle and the couple to other police departments across Westchester. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Briarcliff Police Department at 914-941-2130.
