Trio charged in execution-style Mt. Vernon slaying

Three suspects are in custody for a drug-related homicide in Mount Vernon, police confirmed Monday.Authorities say 18-year-old Carlos Baptiste, 25-year-old Lloyd Braham and 24-year-old Warren Davis broke into Neville Brett's basement apartment June 29.
Investigators say the suspects, all from Mount Vernon, wanted drugs and money from 52-year-old Brett. Police say the trio shot Brett execution-style after he started arguing with them.
Police were familiar with the W. Fourth Street crime scene, saying they found 30 pounds of marijuana at the victim's house about a year ago.
Detectives credit tips from the community with helping them make the arrests in the city's fifth homicide of 2007. The suspects have been charged with murder, robbery and burglary. They are being held without bail at the Westchester County Jail.
Baptiste, Braham and Davis could face 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
