Hunt on for driver who dragged man to death

Police are asking for the public's help to find the driver who struck a man Monday and left him to die on a Greenburgh street.
Police found the victim lying facedown on Saw Mill River Road with ripped clothing when they responded to a 911 call around 12:45 p.m. Detectives believe the hit-and-run driver dragged the man a short distance before speeding off.
The lifeless body remained at the scene covered by a yellow tarp as investigators combed the area into the evening. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
"It's a tragedy," said Bob Kettler, of Yonkers. "What human person would not stop and help somebody if they hit them?"Some residents said they've been complaining for years about a lack of sidewalks in the area.
Police would not confirm reports that they're looking for a gray sedan with front-end damage, but asked that anyone with information about the crime call them at 914-682-5331. The driver could face a number of charges, including vehicular manslaughter.
