White Plains brush fire reignites

Westchester County's "Air One" took action Friday after a brush fire in the woods near Silver Lake reignited.
Water was dropped from above to get the flames back under control.
A temporary ban on all open fires in state parks has been put into effect in Rockland and Orange counties. That ban includes even lighting barbecues.
Dry conditions have been blamed for wildfires throughout the region. Rain has been forecast for the weekend, which could alleviate the danger of more fires.
It took more than 75 firefighters to quell Thursday's fire, which destroyed three acres. West Harrison fire officials say they were lucky to get the fire under control before nightfall obscured visibility.
"It would have been really serious because it would have started making its way up to the homes," says Chief Pat Galuzzo.
