Gillibrand addresses job creation

U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand made her first visit to Westchester Sunday to talk about her plans for job creation.
Gillibrand and Rep. Nita Lowey - both Democrats - met at JCF Decorations in White Plains to promote using federal stimulus aid to help bolster small businesses.
"Small businesses clearly are the job generators and are the future to this economic recovery," Gillibrand says.
The junior senator from New York also defended the actions of Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who has come under fire recently for how he dealt with bonuses handed out by American International Group, Inc. and the perceived lack of clarity about his plans to clean up so-called toxic assets owned by numerous financial institutions.
"What the market needs to hear from Secretary Geithner are the details and so as he rolls out the details, he will create the confidence so that the market will be less volatile," Gillibrand said.
