Yonkers water tower slated for demolition

A 150-foot Yonkers water tower is slated to be demolished.

A demolition crew is expected to begin its preliminary work at some point this month. However, 100 tons of water must first be removed from the Ridge Hill site tower.

The 80 acres at the site is being developed into a retail and entertainment complex that also includes housing.
