Town hall held on affordable housing

Legislator John Nonna hosted a town hall meeting Wednesday night on the controversial settlement reached with the federal government to build affordable minority housing in largely white Westchester communities.
There was standing room only at the meeting, which took place at the town hall in Valhalla.
Legislators have to approve the settlement by Sept. 24 or face going to trial, which could cost taxpayers millions more than the estimated $60 million it will take to build the housing.
