Suspect accused in firefighter's death appears in court

The man accused of setting the Yonkers fire that killed firefighter Patrick Joyce appeared in city court Wednesday.
Rafael Roldan, 33, was arraigned Monday and charged with second-degree murder, second-degree arson and two counts of first-degree burglary. He was not able to enter a plea at that time because he did not have an attorney. He has since been assigned Manhattan lawyer Scott Tulman for legal representation.
Prosecutors want the case presented to a grand jury and moved to a higher court in White Plains. They will present their argument to have the trial moved Oct. 23.
