Police: Suspect in prostitution ring has mob ties

Police say the man who was arrested Thursday for allegedly running a high-end prostitution ring in White Plains has a criminal past and ties to the mafia.
Kenneth Fuina had recently finished his probation after playing a role in a $50 million stock fraud scheme in 2000 involving at least five crime families, authorities say.
Fuina and his partner, Shawana Smith, were charged with operating a call girl business for more than two years, using some 30 women to service clients at Westchester hotels for $600 to $2,000.
Fuina and Smith's bail was set at $1,000 each. If convicted, they face up to seven years in prison.
