A registered sex offender from Yorktown has been once again been sentenced for criminal sex acts.

Jonathan DeLaura, who was previously sentenced to 35 years in prison on federal sex charges, was sentenced last week to eight more years behind bars.

The Putnam County District Attorney says DeLaura, 39, would target his young victims by posing as a young female online and then use blackmail to force them to submit to his demands.

In April, DeLaura was sentenced to 35 years after being arrested in an undercover Internet sex sting. In that case, police say DeLaura thought he was meeting a young boy for sex when he was busted in a Putnam Valley parking lot.

The sentences will run concurrently.
